Writing.

In writing I wrote a recount of my weekend. I enjoyed doing this writing.

Numeracy

In numeracy I have been learning my number bonds to 10. I have been using a ten frame to add and subtract two numbers.

In this story the sun came up the cockerel said Cock-a-doodle-do! wake up. The cow woke up. the sheep woke up but the lazy pig did not wake up. The farmer gave the lazy pig some food then the pig raced to the food and said I am up, I am hungry.
I liked this book because the pig made me laugh.

Here comes little Chimp by Jenny Giles

In this story Mother Chimp was up in the tree and Little Chimp was on the ground. Mother Chimp told Little Chimp to come up to her but Little Chimp said I am too little to come up the tree. Mother Chimp told him to come up and Little Chimp did go up the tree safe with his Mother.

I enjoyed this book because its a good book and a nice story.

Nikau had a book but his little brother Tama wanted it. Mum said come and read me your book Nikau but Tama kept shouting. Tama got angry so Nikau said come and sit here and Nikau read the book to Mum and Tama.

I liked this book because everyone was happy in the end.

This story is about going on a picnic. Mum puts in healthy food and the children put in chips, biscuits and lemonade.  They all liked picnics and ate the treats.

Numeracy

In numeracy this week I am learning to add two numbers putting the biggest number first then count on using my number line. I thought it is getting easier with more practice.

Writing

In writing this week I wrote about what I did at the weekend with my friend Curtis. I enjoyed writing.

Shantytown.

This week Shantytown came to visit school. I had to dress up as an early settler, we learnt how to trade and barter like in the olden days.
